Have you visited Hilltop Grand Village yet? We had hundreds – running probably to 1,500 – attend our open house in September. I had two people tell me this week they couldn’t even get in for the open house because it was so packed with people.
We were overwhelmed, and that’s a good thing. Mostly. We had many people get a chance to see our new building and run into old friends in the process.
But we also had many, many people who didn’t get a guided tour and who were likely left with lingering questions. I even heard about some rumors after the open house that are unfortunate. Those who were able to take a guided tour with a staff member came away much better informed, and I think, appreciative of what we’re doing and why.
Since our open house, I’ve given about a tour a day – sometimes more. During the open house, I was trying to cram in a tour every 20 minutes, and that meant leaving my guests to look at our apartments on their own.
I like giving tours to people who visit. Some are just curious – like many of our open house guests. Some are serious about finding a place for themselves or a loved one.
It’s a big decision, to decide to move from your home into a facility. It’s not a decision to be made lightly. Sometimes family members see that a change could be good and encourage Mom or Dad to take a look. Maybe there is a health concern. Maybe Dad doesn’t drive any more. Maybe Mom is alone now. Maybe they don’t eat as well as they should or don’t get out to socialize. Maybe they just aren’t safe at home after an illness or fall. Maybe they need help getting around or a reminder to take medication.
Those are all reasons you might need to consider assisted living. And if you are considering assisted living, you need to consider Hilltop Grand Village. We are resort-style assisted living, because we offer many luxuries and activities – things to keep you mentally, physically and socially active – every day, and that’s all included in our monthly rent. You only pay for care if or when you need it.
If you missed the open house and you’d still like a look inside, please stop in. You can call to arrange a time to tour, or you can stop in. I’m here most weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and I’d be happy to show you around. It’s a beautiful building. I’d like you to see it and see how it could be the perfect place for you or your loved one. I can answer your questions and help you understand the value and benefits we offer.
Come on in – I’d be happy to show you around!
