Purely by chance, we got a double dose of special stuff at Hilltop Grand Village.
Chuck Huhnke, Hilltop’s “Piano Man,” agreed to play piano during our lunch hour.
He loves the grand piano. I think he’d play even without an audience, but our members really enjoyed his music, too.
Chuck will check his schedule and set up a time to come again — maybe during dinner. We can’t wait.
As lunch was ending, our members got a visit from Leo, a 6-month-old English Cream Golden Retriever. Leo came to work with his owner, our executive director. He’s a well-behaved pup who loves people and to be petted. The dog lovers in the group couldn’t get enough of him. He had a bath the night before, so his fur was super silky.
While it wasn’t traditional pet therapy, it was a fun visit from a four-legged friend, and one we’d be happy to repeat any time. Pets are welcome to live at Hilltop Grand Village, but so far, none of our members have pets.
Topped off with a healthy dose of sunshine, some green grass and temps in the upper 50s, it was a near perfect day at Hilltop Grand Village.
